Chateau D' Artigny

A Belle Époque dream castle of perfumer François Coty, Château d’Artigny rises above the Indre Valley in 65 acres of parkland with a striking white façade and grand pillared entrance. Inside you will find a health and beauty centre, creative regional cuisine and a wine cellar with 450 different bins.

Walk through reception rooms fittingly grand for a château reminiscent of the 18th century, which features ‘trompe l’oeil’ frescos, marble statues, fluted columns, antiques and Louis XV-style furniture. The sweeping staircase leads to refined rooms.

Visit the health and beauty centre, complete with sauna, hammam and jacuzzi. Alternatively, take a tour of the surrounding Touraine wine region where you can sample Vouvray and Chinon wines or seek out nearby châteaux such as Azay le Rideau and the superb gardens at Villandry. For something a little different, explore the Loire Valley by hot-air balloon.
